Brief Description:  Left wing fuel tank part #22

Finished off the interior ribs for the left tank today. Rivet holes were cleaned and wiped with acetone.

A 22 gram batch of sealant was mixed and I inserted the sealant in every rivet hole, then seated the cleaned rivets into each hole.

Once in place, they were bucked, moving from the baffle location into the leading edge of the tank. This was done on both sides.

After the interior ribs were completed, I moved back to the right tank. I decided to bolt down the Z-brackets to see if the slight pillowed areas in the tank joint would change. Not a whole lot of difference. All of the bolts went in great and everything lined up nicely. I'll filet the rivets heads and flanges on Monday.

I'll mark the the areas that have to be massaged and address it after I test the tanks for leaks. Back to work tomorrow at 0330 hrs. Off to CFB Trenton for the weekend for my yearly checkride and then back to the build on Monday.
